Jessica Sarant, Therapist
Mission
As a dedicated therapist, I believe that healing and growth happen best in a space of trust, authenticity, and collaboration. My therapeutic approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy, allowing me to tailor the process to each client’s unique needs. I also draw from other modalities when they align with a client’s journey, ensuring a truly personalized experience.
With a Person-Centered foundation, I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered. Through CBT, I help individuals identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, fostering practical skills for lasting change. By integrating Psychodynamic Therapy, we can explore deep-seated patterns and past experiences that may be influencing present challenges. This holistic and flexible approach allows us to address concerns at multiple levels—cognitive, emotional, and unconscious—leading to deeper self-awareness and meaningful transformation
Education
I attended the University of Arizona where I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Psychology. I went on to attend New York University where I then obtained my Masters Degree in Mental Health and Wellness Counselling. During my Masters Degree, I worked pro bono at a private practice in New York where I worked with individuals and couples who were struggling with a wide range of presenting problems.
Specialization
I specialize in helping individuals navigate the complexities of anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and chronic stress, offering a compassionate and integrative approach to healing. Anxiety and panic attacks can feel overwhelming, creating a cycle of fear and avoidance that disrupts daily life. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I guide clients in identifying and reframing unhelpful thought patterns, developing coping strategies, and regaining a sense of control. For those struggling with depression, I create a supportive space to explore underlying emotional wounds, address self-defeating beliefs, and foster self-compassion through a blend of Person-Centered Therapy and Psychodynamic techniques. Chronic stress, whether stemming from work, relationships, or past trauma, can take a toll on both mental and physical well-being. By integrating mindfulness techniques, somatic awareness, and tailored interventions, I help clients cultivate resilience, reduce emotional overwhelm, and establish sustainable self-care practices. My approach is flexible and adaptive, ensuring that therapy aligns with each individual’s experiences, strengths, and personal goals—leading to long-lasting change and emotional well-being.
